Build Theater Clubs in every Constituency, Hicks Yamba

Zambia’s renowned Actor  Hicks Yamba has appealed to the government and  their local partners  to consider building theater clubs and youth centers  in every constituency  so the next generations  narrate the untold stories and achievements within the nation since Zambia has  a rich culture.

Yamba said there is talent in every constituency and story writers who want to express themselves and the way they live  through movies  , poetry and well-choreographed indigenous  dancing .


He said ‘Lusaka play house’ in Lusaka constituency is not enough  as there are  a lot of untapped talent  in other constituencies  within  Lusaka and in the rest of the ten provinces in Zambia .

Yamba said viewers in Zambia ,Africa  and the  world at large want to see a variety of interesting stories  and characters   that will entertainment  them in   cinemas and in the comfort of their homes.

“Infrastructure is  key in all aspects of life ,including  the art industry , if only government and other local partners could build theater clubs and youth centers in almost every constituency , this is what Zambian children envy from other countries like United States America (USA) , South Africa and Britain among others who have ensured that children are kept busy  and tapping talent from youths and children,“Yamba explained .


The determined and talented actor who plays  is resented character in the soap opera,’Mpali’ followers in Africa  as a character called  ‘Frank’who  marries Nguzu’s daughter for material motives has been disowned by  his father who is trying stop him from fighting his battles .

Yamba explained that USA, Britain, South Africa and Nigeria which has improved  seem to be leading in show business  due to their advancement in building theater clubs, youth centers  and sports centers for their children.
