Ministry of Youth ,St. Eugene University to Provide  Scholarships

Ministry of Youth ,Sports and Arts and DMI Saint Eugene University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to facilitate 1,700 university  degree scholarship to vulnerable youths involved in sports and arts.


Speaking during before the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at Government complex in Lusaka 21st August 2023, DMI St.Eugene  Secretary to the University Council  Reverend Sister Mary Fatima said working inconjuction with the Ministry of Youth ,Sports and Arts  will strengthen education standards of youths and provide a platform for interacting and sharing ideas to develop communities.


Reverend  Fatima the guest who was  flanked by Dr.Kavita Ramasamy DMI St,Eugene University chancellor said her organization will always ‘Free Education’  as it is an idea that help vulnerable and they will provide scholarships to young people for the duration of 5 years subject to negotiations.

And Minister of Youth ,Sports and Arts Elvis Nkandu who flanked by  permanent secretary  Kangwa Chileshe  and Director John Zulu has urged other Universities to emulate St. Eugene DMI university’s  efforts  of supplementing  government  to provide education vulnerable youths and empower them in order to  contribute to job creation.

“the credibility of true leadership is to fulfill the promises that one made before taking up office to serve the people,  they may be other challenges that will evolve along the way,but we have collaborate with other institutions to alleviate problems we are facing now  ”Nkandu explained.
