Bishop Phil Kapema says the growth future of the church depends on physically
ministering members of the church and socializing with them to listen to
challenges that render them inactive.
Speaking after a successful
‘Valentines Weekend Sports’ activity at Libala Ward on Saturday 18th February, 2023
under the theme: ‘Ministering’, Bishop Kapema said tending to Christian flock has
different facets which include physical visitations to families and
individuals.
Bishop Kapema who has led Libala ward for 9 years said ‘Ministering ‘in form of physical socializing with Church members and non- Church members and sharing food delicacies, is meant to help members become missionaries as well as fishers of Men, Women, Girls and Boys; like Jesus did scout for his 12 disciples .
“It’s about getting to know individual personalities in the church,
as well as help adult non -members understand the book of Mormon another testament
of the scriptures to enrich the communities spiritually. It is good to hear of
established Church members who show love by visiting others before being
assigned to visit, sometimes a phone
call to a member who fails to attend church service can pay spiritual dividend
to win them back, Bishop Kapema explained.
