EPL ‘Works Out Own Salvation’ with Fear

English Premier League’s (EPL) continuation and consistence in” taking a knee” or to bow down  before the kick- of every football match as a sign of  resisting  racism in sport as well as  in everyday life  has indicated  and passion  to build peace and uniting the human race, under their slogan ‘No Room for Racism’, since the year 2020.

According to book of Philip chapter 2 verse 10  to 12 instructs that  every knee shall bow  of things in heaven and things on  earth and things under the earth and that every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord .

The English Premier League administrators   under the auspices of the British Government led by Prime Minister Boris Johnson shares  the same ‘deeper Life ‘Christian tenets with Zambia  a Christian Nation  which strives to follow Prophet Philip’s principles in the Book of Philip in the Bible  “wherefore my beloved as ye have always obeyed not as in my presence only ,but much more in my absence ,’WORK Out ,Your SALVATION , WITH FEAR  and Trembling, controlling and taming racist resented tendencies globally.


According to Reuters News 25th November 2011  Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) president Ricardo Teixeira rebuffed former FIFA president Sepp  Blatter  in a statement that “Racism is not resolved with a hand shake and none of those who suffer it forget it the next day” ,this came in prelude to hosting the 2014 world cup in Brazil .

Ricardo Terra Teixeira was born June 20, 1947 is the former president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). He was in the office from January 16, 1989 to March 12, 2012.

In July 2012, a Swiss prosecutor's report revealed that, during his tenure on FIFA's Executive Committee, he and his former father-in-law Joao Havelange took more than $41 million in bribes in connection with the award of World Cup marketing rights.

 

Reuters News reported that in 2011 alone former Brazil internationals Gilberto Silva and Roberto Carlos and present Brazilian players Marcelo and Neymar Jr were among many who had suffered racist insults from fans or opponents.
